EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
A collaboration of the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE), the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC), and the Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC). This free, one-hour, self-paced avalanche awareness course gives participants a foundation for a lifelong avalanche education journey. I'm proud to have contributed to this project during my tenure as AIARE's Education Director. You can learn more about what we saw in the first year of that program in this piece I wrote for The Avalanche Review in its April 2026 edition.
